Description of product typologies
Vigneti della Serenissima PDO or Serenissima PDO Spumante has a straw-yellow colour, with varying intensity and at times with greenish or golden highlights, and consistent and elegant foam; the nose is delicate, revealing light fragrances of yeast and dried fruit; it is fresh, sapid and fine on the palate, with harmonious flavours of white fruit and wild herbs. It can display Millesimato (Vintage) and Riserva on the label.Vigneti della Serenissima PDO or Serenissima PDO Spumante Rosé is pink in colour, varying in smoothness, and has intense and elegant; the nose bursts with a characteristic fragrance of yeast, with persistent fruity notes from which light aromas of raspberry and strawberry emerge; the palate reveals excellent sapidity, freshness and aromas full of red fruit.Vigneti della Serenissima PDO or Serenissima PDO Spumante and Spumante Rosé wines must be obtained through secondary fermentation in bottles, as required by traditional and classic methods. Spumante and Spumante Rosé wines can be marketed in the types ranging from Brut Natural to Sec; Millesimato wines can be found in the types ranging from Brut Natural to Dry, and Riserva wines from Brut Natural to Brut. Vigneti della Serenissima PDO or Serenissima PDO Spumante must remain on the lees for at least 12 months; Vigneti della Serenissima PDO or Serenissima PDO Spumante Rosé for 12 months; Vigneti della Serenissima PDO or Serenissima PDO Millesimato must remain on the lees for 24 months and Riserva wines for 36 months.
