Verduno Pelaverga PDO or Verduno PDO is ruby red, with evident reflections ranging from violet to cherry red and a crimson rim; floral and fruity notes of violet and cherry are predominant on the nose, and with ageing it acquires characteristic aromas of green and white pepper accompanied by persistent fruity notes; it has a solid structure, with a perfect balance between alcohol and acidity and an extremely sharp tannic vein, which contributes to the fresh and balsamic sensations found in the persistent finish. It can display Vigna (vineyard) on the label if the wine is obtained from a vineyard that has existed for at least seven years.
