Sciacca PDO Rosso has a bright and intense ruby-red colour; the nose displays strong notes of red fruit and light hints of brushwood; it is dry and medium-bodied on the palate, with an elegant tannic vein and good persistence. It can display Riserva on the label if the wine has been aged for a minimum period of two years, of which at least one year must be in wooden barrels.Sciacca PDO Rosé ranges from smooth to coral- pink in colour; the nose is delicate, fine and fragrant with fruit; it is lively on the palate, with a harmonious structure and well- defined freshness. Sciacca PDO Rosé must be produced exclusively with the white vinification of the grape varieties used for Sciacca PDO Rosso wine, or with the contemporary mashing of white and red grapes present in both Sciacca PDO Red and White wines.
