The production area of Palizzi PGI is within the entire territory of the municipalities of Bova, Bova Marina, Brancaleone, Condofuri, Palizzi and Staiti in the Province of Reggio Calabria, in the Calabria region.
Description of product typologies
Palizzi PGI Rosso is deep red, varying in intensity; the nose is ample and variegated, with aromas of berries, marasca cherry and ripe plum; it is warm, complex and well-structured on the palate, with long persistence. Palizzi PGI Rosato is pink, varying in intensity; the nose displays fruity notes of strawberry, pansy and Freisa flowers; the sensations of the nose return on the palate with fresh, pleasant and harmonious notes bursting with sun-bathed red fruit. Palizzi PGI Novello is red, varying in intensity; fragrances of raspberry, blackcurrant and small berries blend harmoniously with the freshness of the grapes; it is pleasant, harmonious and balanced on the palate, with fresh, fruity aromas.
