The Miel - Marque Nationale du Grand-Duché de Luxembourg PDO is a mixed flower honey made from clover, white sweet clover, fruit tree blossom, broom, dandelion and meadow-sweet pollen.

Production Method
This honey is a genuine product made by 180 beekeepers throughout the whole country. It is collected from the beginning of spring to the end of the summer. It is left to mature and crystallize and is analysed and tested for flavour before being sold. No additional food may be fed to the bees - for example sugar - and the addition of imported honey is banned.
Appearance and Flavour
Miel - Marque Nationale du Grand-Duché de Luxembourg PDO is a set, not liquid, honey with no crystallisation, perfectly smooth and pure, with its own distinctive aroma.
History
Miel - Marque Nationale du Grand-Duché de Luxembourg PDO has already been an officially recognised protected national product since 1948 under specific licensing laws which were modified on 5th July 1973 and have since remained in force.
Gastronomy
Miel - Marque Nationale du Grand-Duché de Luxembourg PDO should be stored in a dark place and away from sources of heat. No other particular precautions are necessary because it is a naturally long lasting product. It is excellent eaten just as it is, as a sweetener or spread on bread. It is also used as an ingredient in the preparation of desserts and cakes.

This honey is sold as Miel - Marque Nationale du Grand-Duché de Luxembourg PDO. It is only sold in 500 gr glass jars.
