Production Area
The production area of Lison PDO is within the territory of numerous municipalities in the Province of Pordenone, in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region, and in the provinces of Venice and Treviso, in the Veneto region.
Description of product typologies
Lison PDO Bianco is straw-yellow with greenish reflections which vary in intensity according to the skin contact during maceration; the nose is rich, with evident notes of flowers, fresh unripe fruit, peach leaves and almond husks, accompanied by the pleasant aroma of freshly cut grass; it is smooth and velvety on the palate, with evident sapidity and a persistent taste that leads to a typical bitter almond finish. It can display Classico on the label. Lison PDO wines cannot be released for consumption before January 1st of the year following that in which the grapes were produced. It is mandatory for Lison PDO wines to display the production year on the label.
