Description of product typologies
Colli Etruschi Viterbesi PDO or Tuscia PDO Bianco is straw-yellow, tending towards golden yellow; the nose displays hints of exotic fruit and glycine, with spirals of mineral flavours; it is dynamic and salty on the palate, with undertones of fresh fruit. It can also be a semi-sparkling, semi-sweet or dry wine. Colli Etruschi Viterbesi PDO or Tuscia PDO Rosso is very intense ruby red; notes of cassis alternate with herbs on the nose, on a minty background; the attack on the palate is fresh, tannic and mineral. It can also be a semi-sparkling, semi-sweet or dry wine. Colli Etruschi Viterbesi PDO or Tuscia PDO Rosato is pink, varying in intensity, at times with purplish reflections; it is intense, delicate and pleasant on the nose; it is dry or semi-sweet on the palate, harmonious, balanced and at times fresh and lively. It can also be a semi-sparkling, semi-sweet or dry wine. Colli Etruschi Viterbesi PDO or Tuscia PDO Passito with a grape variety specification has the typical organoleptic properties of the grapes and terroir of origin. Colli Etruschi Viterbesi PDO or Tuscia PDO Novello is ruby red, varying in intensity, with purplish reflections; the nose displays persistent fruity fragrances; it is fresh, harmonious, balanced and rounded on the palate, at times lively due to the aroma of fermentation.

The Colli Etruschi Viterbesi PDO or Tuscia PDO may display the following grape variety specifications. From white grape varieties: min. 85% Trebbiano Toscano (locally known as Procanico) (incl. Semi-Sparkling), Grechetto (Greco Bianco) (incl. Semi-Sparkling), Trebbiano Giallo (locally known as Rossetto), including Dry, Semi-Sweet, Moscato Bianco (locally known as Moscatello), including Semi-Sparkling, Passito, Dry, Semi-Sweet), pure or with the addition of similarly-coloured grapes, with the exception of Malvasia di Candia, originating from other grape varieties suitable for cultivation in the concerned area, max. 15%. From red grape varieties: min. 85% Sangiovese (incl. Rosé, Semi-Sparkling, Dry, Semi-Sweet), Grechetto Rosso (locally known as Greghetto), Merlot, Montepulciano (locally known as Violone), Canaiolo Nero (locally known as Canaiolo), including Semi-Sweet, pure or with the addition of similarly-coloured grapes, with the exception of Ciliegiolo, originating from other grape varieties suitable for cultivation in the concerned area, max. 15%. The characteristics of the colour, fragrances and flavour of each specification are those typical of the grape variety and terroir of origin.
