The Colli di Conegliano PDO is reserved for the following types of wine: White and Red; White Passito and Red Passito (the latter two only with a geographical specification).

The production area of Colli di Conegliano PDO is within the territory of numerous municipalities in the Province of Treviso, in the Veneto region.
Description of product typologies
Colli di Conegliano PDO Bianco is yellow in colour, ranging from pale straw-yellow with greenish reflectionsto golden yellow; it is moderately intense on the nose, with notes of flowers, mild fruit, aromatic herbs and sage; depending on the grape variety, it varies from thin to intense, citron, lively and sapid on the palate. Colli di Conegliano PDO Rosso has a strong ruby-red colour that tends towards garnet; the nose displays pleasing, characteristic and fruity fragrances, with hints of fruits of the forest and spices; it is dry and moderately tannic on the palate. It can display Riserva on the label after the wine has undergone a maturing period of at least 12 months. It may be released for consumption 36 months after November 1st of the year in which the grapes were produced. Colli di Conegliano PDO Passito Bianco and Colli di Conegliano PDO Passito Rosso wines with a geographical specification have the typical organoleptic properties of the grapes and terroir of origin.
Geographical and sub-area specifications
The Colli di Conegliano PDO can be accompanied by two sub-geographical designations: Colli di Conegliano PDO Torchiato di Fregona, produced in the municipalities of Fregona, Sarmede and Cappella Maggiore, in the Province of Treviso, which are reserved for White Passito wine; Colli di Conegliano PDO Refrontolo, produced in the municipalities of Refrontolo, Pieve di Soligo and San Pietro di Feletto, in the Province of Treviso, reserved for Red and Red Passito wines. Colli di Conegliano PDO Torchiato di Fregona is obtained from grapes that have been dried on trellises, pressed and fermented in oak, acacia or chestnut barrels; it is intense golden yellow in colour, with amber highlights; it offers fragrances of honey and vanilla on the nose, with undertones of dry fruit and wood; it is smooth and mellow on the palate. The wine is produced with the following grape varieties: min. 30% Glera, min. 20% Verdiso, min. 25% Boschera, pure or with the addition of similarly-coloured unaromatic grapes originating from other grape varieties suitable for cultivation in the concerned area, max. 15%. Colli di Conegliano PDO Refrontolo is intense ruby-red in colour, tending towards garnet; it is vinous on the nose; on the palate it is warm, full-bodied and dry. It is produced with the Marzemino grape variety, min. 95%, pure or with the addition of similarly-coloured unaromatic grapes originating from other grape varieties suitable for cultivation in the concerned area, max. 5%. Passito del Refrontolo possesses the typical aromas of grapes that have been dried naturally on trellises. This wine is matured for up to 12 months in oak barrels and can be released for consumption 24 months after the production of the grapes.
