Bardolino Superiore PDO has a colour that ranges from various shades of crimson in young wines, which tend to lighten with ageing; young wines are characterised by herbaceous, floral or fruity sensations, which assume a more complex aroma if aged in the bottle while aged wines tend to display fragrances of vanilla, spices and tar on the nose; young wines are characteristically full-bodied on the palate, while aged wines tend to be smoother and more balanced. Classico can be displayed on the label.
