Description of product typologies
Aprilia PDO Bianco or Bianco di Aprilia PDO is straw-yellow in colour, varying in intensity; fragrances of flowers and fruit on the nose give way to aromatic notes; it is dry and balsamic on the palate. Aprilia PDO Rosso or Rosso di Aprilia PDO is intense ruby-red in colour; the fragrance opens with notes of prunes and blackberries on the nose; the fruity scents return on the palate with a sharp tartness and smooth tannins. Aprilia PDO Rosé or Rosé di Aprilia PDO is bright pink in colour; the fragrance is fruity and floral on the nose, with cherry and sweet spices standing out; it is fresh and delicate on the palate, with a hint of tannin.

The Aprilia PDO may display the following grape variety specifications. From red grape varieties: min. 85% Merlot, pure or with the addition of similarly-coloured grapes originating from other grape varieties suitable for cultivation in the concerned area, max. 15%.
